The Lounge Wear category is certainly hotting up once again and as summers are approaching all brands will be upping their ante in the process of being heard. The category is getting very competitive as close to two hundred manufacturers are already catering to this market. Initially it was manufacturers from Mumbai and then gradually Delhi and now even Ludhiana has entered the market.

According to sources available with us in Ludhiana alone more than 25 manufacturers are entering this market in summers. Track pants, Loungers, Sleeveless Tees, Gym Vests, Jogging Suits, Bermudas, Capris are the new relax wear and nightwear for the yuppie and puppie generation. In the last ten years the market has developed tremendously from the time Sweet Dreams launched this category in the year 2000. Innumerable brands in Mumbai also launched their collection almost simultaneously and notable among them being Lovable, Valentine and recently Proteens, Bonjio and Neva.
