He may be a man of humility, but Mr. Rakesh Grover deserves no less title than the 'Czar of Indian Lingerie Industry'. Managing Director of Groversons Apparel Pvt. Ltd., the oldest growing brand of India, he is a testimony to that fact that one can reach milestones through sheer assiduousness and dedication.
On asked what sets him apart he is quick to reply, “Consistent innovation and focus on service to customers.” However there is a lot more than meets the eye with this man who runs an empire that has a substantial turn over of Rs. 75 crore and the largest production capacity in India. Values passed down from his father
His father, Late Shri. Chamanlal Grover was a man of great foresight. Not only did he sow the seeds of the lingerie empire in India in 1953, a time when lingerie manufacturing was unheard of but he also managed to churn it in to a successful empire. Growing up under of his father, Mr. Rakesh Grover has been influenced by his father's veracity and the manner in which he ran the company. He ardently describes him as, “A man of high integrity and diligence who believed in virtue of honesty with consumers and went by the rule 'consumers come first'.” Today, Mr. Rakesh Grover aims to take forward the same caliber of values that has been passed on by his father. “Our endeavor is to provide the finest quality product to our consumers at the best possible price. I have tried and succeeded in imbibing these values and principles in the organization and have assimilated them in our corporate vision.”
